How To File New York Form IT-205
File New York Form IT-205 for an estate or trust that must report fiduciary income tax to New York State, New York City, or Yonkers. Use the form for calendar year 2025 or for a fiscal year that begins and ends in the stated period. Complete the entity and fiduciary information first, then mark the correct type of entity and return status. Enter income, tax, credit, payment, refund, and balance due information on the main return. Complete Schedule A if the return requires details of federal taxable income for a resident estate or trust. Complete Schedule B to compute the New York fiduciary adjustment.
